As a shaft manufacturer, Kinetixx is one of those that while they might not be the most recognizable name to the masses, if you know, then you know. Here at THP we have done multiple features on the brand to help tell their story, be it their backstory, their attention to the environment, or of course, their cutting edge innovation.
As we progress towards the end of 2024, Kinetixx has focused in on accessibility and attraction to the brand and its products. One way has been the unveiling of their new website which offers a more robust fitting tool as well as ordering direct with the option of having adapters and grips installed. However, they are also in for more fun, and that means new finishes like the one we are looking at today on their HYPERSONIC offering.
Kinetixx HYPERSONIC – Orange Vacuum Metalization
You might be familiar with the HYPERSONIC from the THP review we did on the driver shaft last year (here), and if not, you likely will be soon as we are putting the powerhouse of a driver shaft into the hands of a group of community members. However, this isn’t about that, rather this focuses on Kinetixx having some fun with their offerings and understanding the appeal of customization.
The base paint on the HYPERSONIC is fantastic as is, with its deep black finish imbued with glitter like flecks to make it ever so subtly pop. Additionally, Kinetixx continues to offer other matter finishes like red/silver, purple/silver, and pink. But, when it comes to the HYPERSONIC, they believed that a standout driver shaft also merited a standout new finish. Enter, Orange Vacuum Metalization.
Yes, it’s a mouthful, but it shouldn’t surprise you at all that when Kinetixx does something special, they go all out. The result is the brightest and most eye-catching orange finish we have ever seen. The process though is the key, as it is actually allowing them to create a metallic colored layer on top of the carbon fiber. The result is one of the coolest PVD finishes out there.
The Details – Kinetixx HYPERSONIC
The new Orange Vacuum Metalization version of the HYPERSONIC, as well as all of the other color options, are available right now on the company’s website, www.kinetixxgolf.com. This finish is priced at $375.00 (the base finish remains $350.00) for shaft only, and it is available in their D10, D20, and D30 flexes.
Be sure to keep an eye on the THP Community as our forum testing of the HYPERSONIC begins soon!
