In 2022 THP brought the story that Sacks Parente, manufacturer of fine “putting instruments”, was branching out with the acquisition of their own stateside golf shaft manufacturing company. A major part of that was to control the manufacturing and tolerances of their proprietary ULBP (Ultra Low Balance Point) putter shafts, but it was also with the goal of establishing what would eventually become Newton Golf.
Since then, Newton Golf has found a bit of a stride, with significant play and successes on the PGA Tour Champions. The shaft designs have been met with positive reviews, including here on THP. Within that, Newton Golf has also become a more modern brand, with some flash to back up its substance through bright colors and intriguing storytelling. That momentum is what has also led to a bit of brand restructuring.
Moving forward, both the putter and shaft divisions will fall underneath the umbrella of NEWTON GOLF, which will be subtitled “A Sacks Parente Company”. Additionally, the putter branch will now be called “Newton Gravity”, don’t worry though, they will still be showcasing their ULBP technology, though there will soon be five new putters.
There are two big reasons for this move. First, it brings an alignment of the core values of Sacks Parente with emphasis on the principles of physics which the brand was founded on. Secondly, they believe it will allow for the creation of a modern, yet timeless, blend which is focused on living up to its namesake through the creation of equipment that works smarter, not harder, for all golfers.
Moving forward, all the NEWTON GOLF products will be proudly made in the U.S., with putters manufactured in Camarillo, California, and the Motion Shafts hand-crafted in St. Joseph, Missouri.
